How do I move test runs to a different test set?
I created a test run that does not belong to any test set using a menu command "Run tests in... -> New test run..." from test case tree. This test run is not linked to any test set. Is there a way to move it to an existing test set?
In short, test runs are not movable to another test set. Most likely the need to move the test run comes from either reporting, or from making finding certain test runs easier from the UI of the Testlab. For both of these underlying needs it is either recommended to use:
- Milestones for test run
- Version or environments for test run
- Using custom tags for test run
With these you can group your test runs so that you can report and find needed test runs from the UI easily.
Why can't I drag and drop items to my work set?
You need to drag the items to the area to the right of test cases.
What happens when I delete a test case from test case tree?
The test case will be completely gone, and will not show on your test sets or test runs either, regardless of whether the test has been run. In most cases it is preferable to instead set the test as deprecated.
